Berhampur Cop arrest the Kingpin of illegal trade of duplicate IMFL

Berhampur:In continuation of investigation of illegal trade of duplicate IMFL the Kingpin Bulu Patnaik arrested by Berhampur Bada Bazar Police team from Master Canteen area of state Capital.
According to Inspector-in-Charge, Bada Bazaar, Mr.Prashant Bhupati the accused bootlegger Bulu Patnaik of Sriram Nagar, Badabazar, Berhampur.
With the strength of confirmed inelegancy input and proper supervision of SP,Berhampur our team successfully arrested Bulu Patnaik from Bhubaneswar. The team of Officers namely SI Prafulla Kumar Sahoo, SI Bhasat Ranjan Ray and others while he was moving near Master Canteen as reported. He was absconding to evade arrest and was proceeding towards Railway Station to leave for other state.Prashant said.
He is the kingpin of the above illegal trade of duplicate IMFL. Till now, five persons including Bulu @ Manoranjan Patnaik are arrested.
Earlier, the associates of Bulu Patnaik namely Tukuna @ Narayan Bisoyi, N.Bulu Patro, Subash Ch. Moharana, Muna @ Santosh Kumar Sabat and Sanyasi Rout were arrested and in Jail custody. Huge quantity of duplicate and adulterated IMFL of different branded companies and other incriminating materials were seized on 27.05.2021 during joint raid of Excise and Police personnel from Sriram Nagar. The investigation of the case is in progress. Till now cash of Rs. 1,51,000/- has been seized. Requisition has been given to 8 banks to freeze the Bank accounts of the accused Bulu @ Manoranjan Patnaik and related bank accounts for the purpose of financial investigation.
