Berhampur:With most financial transactions getting digitized nowadays, as the number of users of Unified Payment Interface (UPI)-based applications like Google Pay, PhonePe and arranging Private finances for home appliances continue to spike in city so is the cases of fraudulence in police scanner.
One similar case of fraud have come to fore in Berhampur city and innocent Public and vendor are victimise by such fraudster and they duping money very fair way technically.
While a eminent business man Balakrushna Sahu (45) S/o Late Harihar Sahu , Proprietor of IBC Systems , TATA Benz Square , Berhampur . bought such case to the notice of the Police a quick action being implemented and the accuse arrested soon by the BN Pur Police staff.
After long duration soon getting the complaint by BN Pur Police,they acted very seriously lead by IIC, Sarada Prasanna Dash under the direct supervision of Berhampur SP,Pinak Mishra.
Accuse youth Bimal Sethy (28) S/o Rabi Sethy of Bijipur Badasahi, P.S. Berhmapur Town At/Pr. Prem Nagar Canal Sahi P.S. Badabazar Dist.Ganjam nab by police within no time. The noted accused has been arrested Tuesday and forwarded to the Court.
Speaking to scribe SDPO,City Vishnu Pati said,Bimal Sethy a criminal having mastering in preparing fake documents in the name of different customers for availing loan from Bajaj Finance Ltd and producing the delivery order to dealer before the distributor and taking away home appliances. Later he was cancelling the order and selling the same to different customers. He has artificial forged NOC with forged signature of the Proprietor and presenting the same as genuine to Bajaj Finance.
In this manner he has taken away more than 100 home appliances like TV , Refrigerator, Air Conditioner , mobile etc worth of Rs 20 lakhs . Out of 108 items 02 A.C , 06 nos LED TV have been recovered and seized.
Meanwhile, a probe has been launched into the incident after a complaint was lodged by Sahu at Badyanathpur Police station u/s.120/B/465/420/34 IPC. Investigation of the case is in progress .
