International Illicit Trafficking Day Observed
Odishabarta
Paralakhemundi- Presided by former CWC Member and activist Bhagabat Padhi a virtual debate on International Illicit Trafficking Day observed. Padmashree Santi Devi & Rajeswari Dalai of Seva Samaj, former Chairman of CWC Binod Chandra Jena, activist AApparao, CWC Member Alaka Sahu participated on this program.
Speakers highlighted about those social & financial deprived communities who are exploited by those dalals. Particularly women who must ensure their living & livelihoods rights are still under the ploy of those dalals for migration, which shattered their families and their health & nutrition deteriorated. Particularly labour class too suffering on migration. Their worse conditions of livings & more labour with least earnings too send them into hazards.More recently in Gajapati district even a minor boy too succumbed due to lack of treatment & pressurized on hard work. Human trafficking an abject figure where inspite of their farm they are bound to leave for outside.
Our planning failed to check & balance on livelihoods of grassroots, rather simple rations cannot move their identities or secured lives.Values of labor least count & even introspections of their sufferings too not recorded. Allotments of land for landless not properly quantified to ensure their livelihoods. Even women too at slums not given scope on decision making. No doubt schemes are plenty but how far that reaches at unreached interior parts still a jinx.Binod Jena given vote of thanks to all.
