NTPC CMHQ Celebrates 7th International Yoga Day

Ranchi:To celebrate International Yoga Day 2021 at NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters(CMHQ) ,Ranchi today, a session on yoga was organised virtually for the employees and family members to propagate the message of “Yoga for Wellness” which was the theme for this year’s International Yoga Day Celebration.

The yoga session was inaugurated by Shri Partha Mazumder,Executive Director(Coal Mining),NTPC CMHQ.Speaking on the occasion to the participants, Shri Mazumder conveyed his gratitude for organising the yoga program. He shared that International Yoga Day was started in 2015 ever since it has gained popularity to practice yoga regularly due to its health benefits. Yoga is considered as an immunity booster which integrates body and mind to manage our day-to-day challenges of stressful life. Let us take pledge to adopt in our life and do yoga everyday were the concluding remarks by him.

The yoga session was conducted by yoga guru Shri Madhusudan Pramanik. The yoga session was attended by employees and family members in large numbers to avail the benefits of yoga.NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters  has organised various events i.e Yoga Competition for employees.Participants of the competition were felicitated by Executive Director(Coal Mining) as part of the celebration. In addition ,Swayamsiddha Ladies Club, NTPC CMHQ Elocution competition has organised Yoga Competition for homemakers ,Yoga for Children on the topic “Yoga and its benefit” which saw large participation.

Common Yoga protocol from Ayush Ministry was displayed through digital mode in its office premises to create awareness among employees and stakeholders on practising yoga.Multiple events organised were published in internal communication forum and social media to reach wider audience.
