Town BJP Submits Memorandum to Collector, Demands Relaxation for Vendors, Shopkeepers

Rayagada, June 15: Sri Shyam Kumar Dash , Town President, BJP and other BJP members namely Ajaya Kumar Chulet, Buridi Laxmi, Siva Bhaskar, Jagadish Sunari, M Bidya Sagar, Rajesh Panigrahi, T Nagaraju, Prashant Mishra & Jayaram Verma submitted a memorandum to Collector in the interest of small vendors and shopkeepers of Rayagada town. They demanded “No Non-essential Shop-No rent” policy to be announced by Dist Administration.”Why only the shopkeepers bear all loss ?”, Shyam Dash asked.
Other demands included withdrawal of Commercial Electricity charges by Administration for Non-essential shopkeepers till the period of Lock Down & a strict announcement by Dist Administration for all the finance companies and unauthenticated persons, who are giving hand loans, that there should not be any harassment from their side to nonessential shop owners for at least 3 to 4months. Sri Sarat Panda, Additional District Magistrate, Rayagada received the memorandum on behalf of the Collector and assured the party members to look into the matter at their earliest.
