JSPL CELEBRATES 71ST REPUBLIC DAY

Angul, Jan 26th, 2020: The Angul unit of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. (JSPL) celebrated the 71st Republic Day at the O.P. Jindal School ground in Jindal Nagar.  The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by JSPL’s Managing Director Mr. V.R. Sharma in presence of JSPL’s Odisha Business Head Mr. PankajGautam, Executive Director (Maintenance) Mr. Suresh Kumar, President of Jindal MahilaSamiti Mrs. PratibhaGautam, Principal of O.P. Jindal School Mr. Chhanda Charan Das, HoDs of all departments and distinguished guests from local villages.

On this occasion Mr. Sharma, inspected the Guard of Honor accorded by the Security Forces and read out the message of JSPL’s Chairman Mr. Naveen Jindal. In his message Mr. Jindal greeted each and every individual of the nation on this occasion and appealed every citizen to implement the ethos of our constitution in their day to day life to protect and preserve the national integrity for a better tomorrow.

Mr. V.R. Sharma, also welcomed everyone on this occasion and elaborated how Mr. Jindal fought a 10 year long battle to give every citizen the right to fly the National Flag with due respect and honour.

Thousands of employees with their family members, school students with staffs of O.P. Jindal School (OPJS), DAV Savitri Jindal School and the local community from the periphery villages joined the grand celebration of 71st Republic Day with pomp and gaiety. The spectacular patriotic cultural programs performed by the students of OP Jindal High School and DAV-Savitri Jindal High-School left the audience mesmerized in this chilly winter morning.

With similar passion Mr. Ashish Ranjan Mohanty, DGM-HR&ES hoisted the National Flag at the DAV-Savitri Jindal High School and ShramikVihar, whereas Mr. Atish Kumar, Manager-HR&ES unfurled the National Flag at O.P. Jindal Community College and addressed the gathering respectively.

Like every year, this year also the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of JSPL widely known as JSPL Foundation distributed 22000 sweets packets in the 19 GramaPanchayats of the periphery, covering 73 school and 85 Anganwadis.
