YOUTH ABDUCT BY A GROUP ON DEMAND 3.0 LAKHS
Berhampur: Friday at about 9:00 A.M.a group of anti-social youths with their ill motive kidnap one M. Ranjit Kumar (37) of Poodipedivari Street, Near Thakurani Temple, under Bada Bazaar police station police limit, Berhampur, Dist. Ganjam in front of the Mango Market, Andha Pasara Road and took him to Palasa of Srikakulam District (A.P.) in a blue colour Boleno Car without number plate and demanded cash of Rs 3 lakhs to his family members over phone.
With much metal agony and fear a written report submitted by Ms. M. Deepika (25 yrs) W/O: M. Ranjit Kumar of Poodipedivari Street, Near Thakurani Temple, P.S. Bada Bazar, Berhampur, Dist. Ganjam Gosaninuagaon was registered on dated. 28.05.2021 U/s 364-A/323/34.
Keeping on view of the gravity of the case a team was formed by the instruction of SP,Mr.Pinak Mihsra under the leadership of IIC Gosaninuagaon PS, Mr Sumeet Soren and the team proceeded to Palasa and the victim M. Ranjit Kumar was rescued on the same day night at around 8:00 P.M. from the house of accused and the accused persons namely Tangudu Manikanta @ Varun (27 yrs) S/O: Shankar Rao of Rajib Nagar, P.S. Kasibugaa P.S. Dist. Srikakulam, (AP), Manikanta Voona (27 yrs) S/O: Venkat Ramana of Sivaji Nagar, P.S. Kasibugaa, Dist. Srikakulam, (AP) and Talagana Santosh @ Landa (27 yrs) S/O: Lt. Raja Rao of Harijana Veedhi, Door No.10-1-32, P.S. Kasibugaa, Dist. Srikakulam, (AP).
Notably, after long interval last couple of days Berhampur Police reopen their Crime register and started the marathon crime control across the Berhampur city. Few days back a senior police officer told due to Covid – 19 the city was in very safe side crime is totally with zero tolerance as well the criminals are silent.
