Berhampur:On Tuesday in receipt of an information from Security control/Khurda road regarding apprehension of one female person with possession of two bags suspected to be contained contraband Ganja by Escorting Party of Train No.02843 Puri-Ahmedabad Express in S-1 coach after departure from Khalikote Railway station, subsequently, the suspected female has been de-boarded with suspected bags without departing  by TE staff on PF No 2 of Berhampur Railway Station.

As per information IPF-Dillip Kumar of RPF Post/BAM with SI C. K. Tiwary and staff attended on PF No02 of Berhampur Railway Station. Team made search of suspected bags in presence of GO and independent witnesses after  observing all formalities as well conducted the personal search of the lady by  Female staff and found the bags are containing  net Ganja wighibg 11.100 kg

Served  notice u/s 50 NDPS Act. Then requested to have a GO to DSC KUR, accordingly Sri S K Singh ASC KUR attended 06.00 hrs. conducted (Exhibit A) and weighing 12.945 kg (exhibit B) total 24.045 kg   were seized from the possession of the female Ms.Jhuni Jena (Changed name) aged about 50 yrs. The cop prepared all relevant documents under provision of NDPS Act also recorded confessional statement in which she admitted that, she received the bags  outside of Khalikote Railway Station for transporting from Khalikote to Nandurbar Railway Station from one Surya who assured her to pay Rs 4000/- at destination. The said person also boarded at same train in another coach. The detained female person was arrested u/s 20(b)(ii)c NDPS Act 1985 with observing all legal formalities and moral and dignity of a female in presence of female RPF official.

After observing all legal formalities the seized Ganja with arrested female person namely Jhuni Jena (Changed name), under Polasara police limit,Ganjam presently residing at Tulsipur PS Kodala ,Ganjam Odisha handed over to GRPS/BAM.

 on the basing of complaint of RPF,and strong evidence GRPS/BAM registered a case U/S- 20(b)(ii)(C) NDPS Act.,and the arrestee was  forwarded before hon’ble court of law  and sent for judicial custody.
