Enquiry and strict-most punishment necessary for those sending mischievous SMSs in a bid to get KYC through App

Delhi:SMSs were received at about 13.20 hours on Saturday 24.04.2021 from QP-KHABAI at different mobile-numbers whereby messages were sent – Dear customer your SIM documents has been pending your service will stop within 24 hrs. Call us immediately 6289560205 Thank you.

Exactly same message was received on my other mobile-number but mobile-number on which I was required to call was 9163826585. It is noteworthy that such SMSs were received only on those mobile-numbers which are used for internet-banking or other financial-transactions. Since it was apparent from the language of SMSs that callers were fraudulent, I made mobile-calls on both the given mobile-numbers 6289560205 and 9163826585 where on both the mobile-numbers, I was advised to download a particular app from Play-store and upload my KYC documents on that App. Mischief was further clear when I deliberately confused the fraudulent persons by telling that I had service-provider which in fact was other than my actual service-provider. Then they said that this message is for all service-providers, but sensed that I had understood the mischief. Then they disconnected the mobile-connection after giving some most filthy abuses. Matter should be thoroughly investigated in interest of all those using mobile-phones, and the culprits should be publicly exposed and severely punished. Best is to amend the law for providing death-sentence for such hackers.
