CHIT FUND “ BADSAH” PRADEEP SETHI OF AT GROUP ATTEMPTS SUICIDE INSIDE JAIL (!).

Bhubaneswar: Artha Tatwa (AT) Group chief Pradeep Sethi, lodged in Jharpara jail in connection with multi-crore rupees chit fund scam, allegedly tried to commit suicide inside jail here on Wednesday.
Sources said,Sethi had an argument with the inmates inside the jail this morning at around 11.15 AM. Soon after the incident, Sethi went inside the toilet of the jail and attempted to commit suicide by hanging himself by a wire of an inverter (?).
He was immediately rescued by the jail authorities and rushed to a nearby hospital.
Reportedly, he is admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack where is health condition is stated to be stable now, the jail officials said.
Chief of non-banking financial institution (NBFI) Berhampur based Chit fund Badsah Pradip Sethi of Artha Tatwa (AT) group was arrested and sent to jail on May 13, 2013, on charges of cheating investors in different parts of Odisha and running his main office at Berhampur City.
Eleven criminal cases against Sethi are pending in different police stations including three in Bhubaneswar. The AT group has allegedly taken huge amount of deposit and Rs 1.5 crore only from state capital.
In his link many high profile Bureaucrats, Politicians, Sports Club, and some other professionals are also involved.
Though the list with CBI but the agency not yet started any action. However, they all still under CBI scanner. Any time any day they CBI may open the file.
