Founder of Kalahandi Journalist Union Dinesh Panda is no More (!)

Kalahandi:Dinesh Panda, a Sr.Journalist from Kalahandi district, passed away at the Bhawanipatna district head quarter hospital on Sunday evening at the age of 55yrs.

The sudden demise of a senior media personnel who have already taken the Covid vaccine, cannot be accepted among  the media fraternity  in Kalahandi.

His funeral was held at his ancestral village Mingur in the Kalampur block. Late Panda, who has left his widow and two sons, was working as the Dharmagadh Sub-Divisional Correspondent of the daily Odia “Shruti” for more than 15 years.

While living in Junagadh for a long time, late Panda was a Founder member of the “Junagarh Sambadika Sangha” and Founder of “Kalahandi Journalists’ Union”.

 As a sincere, simple, honest and impartial journalist, he has become a favorite among the media personnel.

The media personnel have been stunned by the news of the untimely death of late Panda. Kalahandi Journalists’ Union President Mohammad Alli, District General Secretary and NUJI national executive Member Dushmanta Kumar Panda, Senior Journalists Narendra Kshiti, Khageshwar Dhangadamajhi, Prabhakar Sethi, Sanjeev Das, Kumar Mani Durga,  Rabi  Sunani, Dilip Behera, Rakesh Bemal and other journalists paid tribute to the immortal soul at the mourning ceremony followed with Covid guideline at Junagarh.The Editor in Chief and team Odishabarta too extend their heartfelt respect to late Panda.
