Berhampur: As per a preliminary projection by some organisations, including ICMR, IIT-Bhubaneswar Odisha is expected to witness a steep rise in corona virus cases including Ganjam may hit the peak of second wave by end of the month.
In a note, Vijay Amruta Kulaga, Collector, Ganjam said, this is the high time and all should be very cautious in advance and appeal to people that, as the cases have been projected in view of the rising trend in the last one week as per National figure. The projection apprehended as many from Ganjam are working in other states.

To avoid all confusions, wise to maintain five-point guidelines (“Pancha Sutra”), Kulanga said.
The first point is double barricading so that customers should not get much closer to the shopkeeper and infection can be avoided.
Secondly, the shopkeeper will wear mask and make covering of faces compulsory for those visiting the shop. In addition, they will put up ‘No Mark, No Goods’ board in their shops,”.
The third point is to draw circles in front of their shops to ensure that customers stand in a queue and maintain two metres distance from each other.
The fourth point is all shopkeeper s will keep sanitizers with them and make arrangements for hand washing for customers.
The fifth and most important point is that vendors will maintain contact diary of all customers. They will keep details of those customers visiting their shops. The contact diary will help us to conduct contract tracing in case any shopkeeper or customer test positive for the virus.
All the shopkeepers are bound to obey the five-point rules in their shops. If any shopkeeper found defying the rules, strong action will be taken against them, he added.
The district administration has made a provision of fine against violators and FIR along with closure of shops in case of violation of the guidelines.
