EMINENT ACADEMICIAN TARA PRASAD MOHAPATRA PASSES AWAY (!)

Berhampur: Eminent professor Prasad Mohapatra passes away at 86 at his Gajapati Nagar residence,Berhampur.
Mohapatra an eminent academician, retired as Principal l of City College, Berhampur and a resident of Khalikote, Ganjam, passed in the early hours on Monday at his Gajapati Nagar residence.
Mohapatra the son of renowned astrologer late Baikoli Mohapatra.
Mohapatra after completing the education, initially joined as a faculty member in Government college following completion of his seniority he worked as Principal of Gunpur Colllege,RCM Science College,Khalikote and finally retired as Principal of City College,Berhampur.
Immediately after the news of his demise a large number of well wishers, former students, former colleagues, members of different local public organizations including District Senior Citizens’ Association, Pensioners’ Association,MLA Berhampur,Bikram Panda,Ex-MLA dr Ramesh Chandra Chyu Patnaik,Ex BDA Chairman Subash Moharana and all Media circle of Berhampur city visited his residence and offered floral tribute. He leaves behind his wife, and sons Sudhansu Mohapatra, Jaggan Mohan Mohapatra,Akhil Mohan Mohapatra and Nikhil Mohan Mohapatra and daughters.
After all formalities late Mohapatra made his last journey to Puri “Swarga Dwara”.
