OMOA will Resort to Peaceful and Pemocratic Means of Resistance to fulfil its Demands

Rayagada: Odisha Ministerial Officers’ Association(OMOA) alias Odisha Amala Sangha-Rayagada Unit held its district level meeting at Halua Tota, Rayagada and deliberated its existential issues & registered various demands before the concerned authorities. The members present expressed their anguish over the status of their grade pay, house rent allowance, restructuring of cadres, pay structure, filling of vacancies to decrease the work load, due promotion, facilities to their children, etc. These demands were again and again put before the concerned authorities, who had paid no heed to these issues in spite of assurances and promises. They have warned to resort to all kinds of democratic & peaceful means of protests if their genuine demands are not met.
Though the ministerial staff are the foundation stones in implementing 5T and other development programmes promulgated by the government, it is unfortunate that their basic minimum issues are not addressed, said Sri Kali Rath, District President OMOA. Nevertheless they are delivering their duty diligently and will continue to do so. “The effort to strengthen this association for protective measures will be a continuous process”, said Sri Rama Chandra Rath, office secretary of OMOA.
Sri Rup Keshari Dalei, State Advisor of OMOA joined the congregation and emphasized on the strategies to put the demands and means to get those fulfilled. It was unanimously resolved to approve the working committee constituted last year. Sri Niranjan Nayak, President of Odisha Non-gazetted Officers’ Coordination Committee, Rayagada Unit advised the ways to strengthen the association.
Sri Sukanta Maharana as Chairman of OMOA, Sri Kali Charan Rath as President, Sri Gopinath Raut as Secretary, Sri Abhaya Kumar Raut as Working President, Sri Gouri Shankar and Sri Simanchal Panda as Vice-Presidents, Sri Rama Chandra Patra, Sri Basanta Kumar Behera, Sri Malaya Kumar Mallifula, Sri T Sridhar as Vice-Presidents, Sri Rama Chandra Rath as Office Secretary, Sri Gadadhar Patra as Treasurer, Sri Surendra Naik, Sri Dhaneswar Kumbhar, Sri Prashanta Kumar Sahu, Sri Krushna Chandra Padhi as Advisors, Sri Reddy Ravana, Sri Susanta Das, Sri Sunil Panigrahi, Sri Damodar Jena, Sri Lakhmikanta Mishra, Sri Mohan Kauru, Sri Ahoka Panda, Sri Amulya Naik, Sri Biren Kumar Naik & Sri Bikram Kumar Gopala as executive committee members were renominated to continue for one more year.
The meeting was presided over & moderated by OMOA-Rayagada unit Prersident Sri Kali Rath. Sri Gopinath Raut, Secretary extended vote of thanks.
