Odisha Day Observed at Gajapati

Paralakhemundi: Odisha Day and Utkal Divas observed at Paralakhemundi. At Parala Maharaja Sri  Krushnachandra Guajarati’s statue and Samadhi Collector Anupam Saha and other District Officers paid their floral tribute. A program held on district level where, Minister of Handloom & Handicraft Padmini Diyan graced as Chief Guest. Presided by Collector Anupam Saha,a among others Prof. Amiya Kumar Paricha, Sub Collector Sangramsekhar Panda and DFO Sangramkesari Behera as Chief Speaker & Guests of Honor. Speakers sought valuable contributions of Late Maharaja who not only brought independent state Odisha but his holistic development in the field of education, putting Paralakhemundi in railway map & irrigation projects. Students who won on various competitions got prizes from guests.

At Utkal Hiteishini Samaja premises presided by Gourachandra Panda,Purnachandra Mahapatra as Chief Guest, Dr.Kalyani Mishra as Chief Speaker, President awarded teacher Binod Chandra Jena & Bichitrananda Bebarta as guests of honor,among others Asalata Panigrahi, President awarded teacher, Bhagabat Padhi,Swarnaprava Pathi also spoke on the occasion. Speakers lauded deemed contributions of various legends & litterateurs who portrayed their prolific writings to reinstate Odia  language & literature. Being bi-lingual area still their images still redeeming in state level to reinforce Odia literature.
