Life Imprisonment to two Brothers for Bride’s Murder

Paralakhemundi: On a historical judgement passed Additional District Judge, Gajapati and given stringent judgement of life imprisonment to two brothers to kill a bride. The judgement passed by him other 3 accused released due to lack of evidence.

Incidentally under Puri Police station limits of Balisahi, Madhusmita sister of Rajeshroshan Hota, married to Purnachandra Dash of Jagannath Vihar of Paralakhemundi on 2013.Bride family given Rs.2 lakhs and other accessories as on demand. But bridegroom family members dissatisfied with such limits and demanded more. As a consequence bride Madhusmita had been started tortured by in-laws. So later on she back to her parents home at Puri and affirmed motherhood with a son.

Bridegroom’s brother went to Puri and assured harmony also compromised with Madhusmita parents. But again bride tortured by her in-laws members mentally and physically on return. For small reasons of purchased of bangles tussle reached at epic stage on 29.07.2017 where her elder brother-in-law Ganesh Chandra Das entangled. This aggrieved Madhusmita & informed her brother Rajesh on such atrocities against her. This hovered more among her in-law members and assaulted physically to her.

As results she fainted. Bewildered in-law members felt as her death so they poured kerosene on her & torched too. No sooner informed her family members. On very next day Madhusmita’s brother rushed to Paralakhemundi and registered a case at Model Police station for her untimely death against Purnachandra, Subas, Ganesh, Santoshini and Sujata of in-law family members. In connection a case152/17 registered under section 304B, 302,406,498A against them. Still vehemently in-law tipped as fire flashed from kitchen room to survive them.As per 36/18 required documents furnished with 24 witnesses by complainants, where as 2 witnesses recorded by in-law family members.

Concerned with gravity of case deceased’s husband Purnachandra and Ganes are reprimanded for life imprisonment where as others released due to lack of evidence & proof. Public prosecutor Sarat Chandra Pradhan and on behalf of accused Ramkumar and his associates pledged for arguments. Those life imprisonment convicts were ordered to pay each Rs. 10000 bond or else 2 more years of imprisonment will be faced affirmed on judgement.
