International Women’s Day Celebrated in Talcher Dignitaries Felicitated

Talcher: “SAMPURNA”, an independent intellectual forum of women observed international women’s day here at Mangalam Club, Talcher. International  Women’s  Day began in 1900’s accordingly a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and poiitical achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.

On this auspicious day, to encourage the women society of Talcher, Honourable M L A , Talcher Braja Kishore Pradhan joined as chief guest and said “ women society of our country are called Mother Society”.

The freedom of Women is largely accepted in every sphere of life to empower their social, economic, political activities at large. Women have equal rightwith men and men society always accepts the challenges of Women and support their activities in a positive way, that’s why the women society of our state and nation come forward to achieve their goals”. The other  honorable guests  of this function  Dr. Sasmita Das CMO of TTPS hospital, Dr. Sasmita Sahu, MD of ss hospital, Mrs. Dali Mishra, President of Pragati Mahila Mandal, Shankar Behera, labour Union Leader, and Bibhuti Sahu , Social activist were on dais.

All the guests narrate about the aim and objective of women’s day and the dignity of women empowerment.

The General Secretary of the organization Kabita Rana Co-Ordinated the Programme with the help of the members. Journalists, Social Activists, Doctors, Staff Sisters, Police, Dance Masters and girl students were felicitated by the organization. The function ended with heartfelt cultural Programme.
