SRC, asks all Collectors for Strict implementation of Covid-19 guidelines in State

Bhubaneswar:The Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) today asked all Collectors, Municipal Commissioners and SPs to strictly implement Covid-19 safety guidelines.
The SRC swung into action after fresh spike in number of Covid-l9 infection in some States. The SPC has asked the authorities to implement Covid-19 protocols strictly.
It has asked district and police authorities to check and ensure strict observance of Covid-19 safety protocols such as mandatory wearing of mask, maintaining physical distancing in all public places including work places and educational institutions.
The SRC also asked hotels, restaurants, and other places of public eating to be closely monitored by the police authorities so as to ensure strict compliance of physical distancing norms and other safety protocols.
Besides,authorities have also been asked to initiate strong penal action against the persons violating the Covid-19 safety protocols along with sealing of shops and other commercial establishments violating such norms.
The SRC has also sought an action taken report on the directions by February 22 along with weekly report on enforcement measures.
