8 Qntls. CANNABIS SIEZED ; ACCUSED RAN AWAY FROM TRUCK IN MALKANGIRI

MALKANGIRI: Chitrakonda police seized a truck on Saturday night at ISSAR junction with 8 quintals of Ganja. As every night the police team patrols, but on Saturday night they found a truck was on the road 100 Mtrs away from the ISSAR junction. When the team confirmed the truck bearing registration no – and the truck no was RJ-05-GR-6095 of Rajasthan State, the police moved towards the truck. Immediately the truck driver, helper and a guy ran away as quickly they can after watching the police movement. Police team searched them in the nearby jungle but couldn’t find them.
In connection, Chitrakonda police lodged a FIR vide no 139/20 and the police said the Ganja’s approximate value in the market will be around 40lakhs.
The movement succeed because of IIC, Surya Prakash Naik, ASI, Rajendra Pangi and Sangrsm Keshari Raoutray along with other police personals.
