69th Local Self Government Day Celebration in RMC

ROURKELA: Local Self Government Day is celebrated to extend good governance to everyone so that the end users should get all benefits provided by Govt. without any hassle and this will also enable people to maintain good life. The same purpose is solicited by every citizen of the state and the country as a whole. Rourkela Municipal Corporation has been celebrating the same ever year. This year the 69th Local Self Government Day Celebration was celebrated with all joy. The celebration initially started from garlanding the statue of Utkal Gourav Gopabandhu Das near station road by Dibyajyoti Parida, Commissioner of RMC followed by hosting flag in the premises of RMC office at Uditnagar which was attended by staffs and intellectual of the city with presence of media fraternity. In the celebration few staffs and corona warriors were felicitated for their selfless work done. Doing so, Commissioner of RMC, Dibyahyoti Parida in his address thanked the people live in the city of Rourkela for their cooperation in covid times. He also briefed the different steps taken by the Govt. of Odisha and RMC for the benefits of the people live in here and said all efforts are made give the best governance to the people of the city. He also said how the helpline phone no been used at the time of covid time been converted to Rourkela helpline which will help people to get all benefits and the knowhow about different projects and to complain by the locals. This will enable the RMC authority to extend due service to resolve the issues at the earliest. He also met with the members of different market committee and discussed various issues and took note of it. RMC has been playing very important roles during covid time and worked as the frontline service provider towards different issues people face in the pandemic of Covid management. Role of RMC cannot be ignored and this celebration rightly justifies the work done b RMC.
