3 POLICE MEN ARRESTED WHILE TAKING BRIBE FROM GANJA LOADED VEHICLE.

MALKANGIRI: One Assistant Sub-inspector (ASI) and two home guards of Mudulipada police station, were arrested on Saturday for allegedly taking bribe from Ganja smugglers.
It became costly for the police men while released the Ganja loaded vehicle after taking bribe. In this incident action has been taken against Four police staff of Mudulipada police station of Malkangiri District. 2 ASI and 2 home guards have been arrested as per the information from police HQ.
According to authority, the police officials were on patrolling duty at Khairiput locality on 4th August when they stopped a vehicle. On checking, they found Ganja being smuggled in the vehicle by some people. Instead of taking action against the Ganja smugglers, the police officials let the vehicle go reportedly after taking bribe.
SP, Malkangiri Rishikesh Dyandeo Khilarihas also put the SI of the Mudulipada police station under suspension for dereliction of duty.
