3 persons including a woman arrested for Prostitution. Two women victims rescued
Berhampur, (Odishabarta): Based on credible information regarding flesh trade happening in a rented house of one Rakesh Patra, at 6th.lane, Ralaba Road, Golanthara. Police team conducted raid in the house and Padmanabha Sahu (52 years) Alok Kumar Guru (24 Years) & Sagarika Panda (55 years) detained the accused persons. A case was register in Golanthara PS case No. 102 Dated 09.03.2024 U/S 370 IPC/Sec 3(2)(b)/4/5/6/7 of The Immoral Trafficking (Prevention)Act-1956.
Sagarika Panda had taken the house on rent and was running it as brothel for her illegal gain by inducing women. Two women have been rescued. Accused persons and lady master mind were arrested on 10.03.2024 and are forwarded to Court. The victim girls were sent to shelter home for their interim safety and security.
During search, 03 numbers of mobile phones, cash Rs 22,100 /- from the accused persons, used and unused condoms were recovered and seized from the house.
