3 Critically Injured as blow up Bomb For Extortion In Berhampur

Berhampur, 21/03/23:Three persons were critically injured as miscreant allegedly hurled a country-made bomb in an extortion case in village Jogiapalli under Nimakhandi Police limit Odisha’s Berhampur police district on Tuesday.
According to report, one Kartik Patra, who owns a truck, was about to return home after paying the wages to his workers at the village in the late evening, when Kalia Patra and Mahesh Dora alias Prince of village Bhabinipur came on a bike and hurl bomb explosion targeting Kartik Patra.
While,Kalia and Mahesh together hurled the country-made bomb at Kartik.but the bomb exploded on his hand.
On the impact of the explosion, Kalia’s hand was seriously injured, while Mahesh sustained injuries on face and Kartik on his back.
On being informed, SS Mohapatra,SDPO (Sadar),Bhabananda Pradhan,IIC,Nimakhandi police station rushed to the spot and all the three critically injured persons admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital,Berhampur by police.Soon after the incident Berhampur Superintendent of Police Dr.Saranava Vivek M, also visited to the crime spot
