Bhubaneswar : The state commercial taxes (CT) and GST officials seized around 24 kg gold ornaments from Biju Patnaik International Airport aka Bhubaneswar Airport today.
The CT and GST officials seized the ornaments as the carrier failed to produce documents of around four kg gold.
The consignment was being transported in three packets through a logistics company. The gold was seized as the transporter failed to produce tax invoice and other documents, said a GST official.
It is worth mentioning that the taxmen had seized about 50 kg gold 200 kg silver ornaments from Bhubaneswar Airport last month.
