2 Youths Loot To Repay Loan For Costly Bike in Ganjam Dist; Arrested

Berhampur: Two youths were arrested by the personnel of the Golanthara police station in Ganjam district for their alleged involvement in a series loots.

The arrested youths were identified as Ranjan Sahu and Murali Sethi from Bazar Sahi area of Patrapur. They were working as supervisors in a Bengaluru-based company.

After returning home, they had together bought a costly KTM. But due to their low income, they were finding it hard to repay the loan of the bike, said police sources.

To repay their bike loan, they started robbing valuables especially gold ornaments from commuters.

They were selling their looted ornaments to a youth named Gobardhan Nayak from Buratal village, who was also arrested by the police.

Till now, police have been able to link Ranjan and Murali to at least five theft cases.
