2-Day Holiday Declared for This Year’s Puri Rath Yatra by Odisha CM

Puri: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday declared a two-day holiday for this year’s Rath Yatra.

He made this holiday announcement while taking part in the final coordination meeting for the Rath Yatra preparations in Puri. The CM directed the authorities to issue statutory notices regarding the extra holiday for Rath Yatra.

This year, Sri Gundicha of Rath Yatra is coinciding with Netra Utsav and Nabajaubana Darshan of the deities on July 7. So, the chariots of the deities will pulled over two days.

The CM chaired this final meeting for Rath Yatra 2024 preparations. This meeting was held at 11:15 am at Puri Municipality Hall.

While the Chief Minister chaired the meeting, ministers of various departments, all the MLAs of the districts, Deputy Chief Ministers, Chief Administrator of Srimandir, Puri Collector, SP and administrative officers of Srimandir were present at the meeting.
