167 World Skill Center Students Placed at Reliance New Solar Energy Ltd.

Bhubaneswar, June 25, 2025: In a significant boost to Odisha’s skill development vision, 167 students from the World Skill Center (WSC), Bhubaneswar have got placements with Reliance New Solar Energy Ltd., one of the India’s leading renewable energy companies.

The selected students come from key technical trades, including Electrical Technology, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Mechatronics and Mechanical & Electrical Services of 2024-25 batch. The recruitment includes 25 female and 132 male candidates, marking a milestone in the State’s push toward inclusive and industry-ready skilling.

The placements were facilitated through campus recruitment drives, part of WSC’s finishing school model that emphasizes hands-on and industry-aligned training. Students thanked the Government of Odisha and the World Skill Center for shaping their careers and providing national and international job opportunities.

Smt. Rashmita Panda, CEO of the Odisha Skill Development Authority and World Skill Center, congratulated the students, stating, “These achievements reflect the quality of training at WSC and the growing confidence of industry leaders in Odisha’s skilled workforce.”

Operated under the Skill Development and Technical Education Department, Government of Odisha, the World Skill Center offers advanced training in seven specialized disciplines under its School of Engineering and School of Services. Courses include Precision Engineering, Vertical Transportation, Mechatronics, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Mechanical & Electrical Services and Beauty & Wellness—equipping students with globally benchmarked skills.

Interested candidates who have completed 2-year ITI or 3-year Diploma programs from recognized institutions across the state can apply for courses under School of Engineering and candidates who have completed +2 or ITI in related trades or Diploma in any discipline can apply for course under School of Services.

In addition to Reliance New Solar Energy Ltd., recent recruiters include Jindal SAW Gulf LLC and Emrill Services, in Dubai reinforcing WSC’s growing reputation as a Launchpad for skilled professionals.
