125th Birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee observed in Rayagada

Rayagada, July 7: Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), Rayagada under the aegis of  Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, GOI in collaboration with Centurion University proudly organized a commemorative event in Pitamahal to mark the 125th Birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, a visionary leader, great nationalist & educationist  and founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, which metamorphosed into present day Bharatiya Janata Party. It was celebrated with pomp & ceremony honouring his lasting impact on India’s political educational and cultural fabric.

 A vibrant celebration was held at Pitamahal where hundreds of youth participated in a plantation drive dedicated to Dr. Mukherjee’s life and contributions to the nation & as a tribute to the stalwart leader.. The event was graced by Chief Guest Monoj ku Patra, Deputy CEO, ORMAS, Principal of Centurion International School, who served as the Guest of Honour  in this programme. In his address, he emphasized the relevance of Dr. Mukherjee’s ideals in the present context of youth in shaping a strong and united India.

The program was honored by the presence of Dr Badal kumar Tah, a noted social activist & senior scribe, as Guest of Honour, who enlightened the audience on Dr. Mukherjee’s enduring legacy and his unwavering commitment to national unity and selfless service. He reminisced about Mukherjee’s commitment in keeping Kashmir, Bengal and Punjab as integral parts of India.

Anurag kashyap, Faculty Member in Centurion University, emphasized the life of Mukherjee, his vision for abrogation of Article 370 in the context of clarion call by Shyama Prasad as “ No two constitution, two prime ministers and two flags in one country” & present realization of the same by present PM Modi. At state level in Bhubaneswar, this event was graced by none other than the CM Mohan Majhi. Though the event served as a source of inspiration for the youth, encouraging them to embrace the spirit of patriotism, dedication and public service as championed by Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, the district administration was lethargic to pay tribute to this great visionary and patriot, said a participating youth.
