Berhampur,22/11/23:124th Birth Anniversary of Saheed laxman Naik Observed in the premises of Berhampur Circle Jail on Wednesday. By the District Information and Public relation department,Ganjam.
Deputy Commissioner of Berhampur Municipal Corportation Binod Kumar Behera attended the programme as Chief Guest while District Information and Public relation officer Rabi Narayan Behera and Social worker Sushant Sabat,Chairman of Mahan Sangha and SDIPRO Ms.Rashmirani graced the occasion as guest of honour and offered rich tributes to the great freedom fighter Shahid Laxman Nayak. The programme was presided by Satya Narayan Behera,Jailor of Berhampur circle jail.

KEY NOTE
Laxman Nayak was undisputed tribal leader of undivided Koraput district, who joined Indian freedom movement at Gandhiji’s call. He was born on 22nd November 1899 and hanged to death on 29th March, 1943 in Berhampur jail by British Govt at a very young age of 43.
