10 days awareness drive launched by Mahan Sangha against Covid-19 Lehar

Berhampur: Understanding the second threat and the speed of Corona virus in state the Mahan Sangha Berhampur have initiated 10 days awareness campaign in Berhampur, Ganjam.

As per the schedule the campaign started on Tuesday at Nehru Park in city and flagoff   by Mr Sushanta Sabat the Founder cum Chairman of Mahan Sangha an old social organisation.

Speaking to members and public Sabat said in his address the second Lehar may put us in very critical situation and a matter of life and death. So, this moment let’s join hands together and cooperate the Police administration and district administration.

Citing the object to the Media he said the drive shall continue for 10 days to make aware the citizen to use of Mask, Social distancing use of sanitiser etc..

Joining as chief guest Berhampur Station Master DP Bramha said, the speed of spread of corona virus in Maharashtra, UP and Gujarat we should be very careful before it enter to our city, for that awareness and information on person cleanliness and social distancing is realized.

The main purpose of the campaign was to create awareness to prevent the transmission of the corona virus and to teach public about the effective ways of hand washing techniques and safety measures. The campaign was thought to be the model campaign program organized by the Mahan Sangha, Berhampur but I suggest it should be initiated in almost all parts of the Ganjam district.

 Dilip Kumar, Officer RPF joining as guest appreciates the steps being taken by Mahan Sangha. In his speech he said, “Masks will become a symbol of a civilised society. If you want to protect yourselves and others from the disease, the use of a mask is important. Nobody was serious how it would help. So, “I started using Mask first in my office”.

After the meeting the team members and Guests visited the platform and distributed Mask to the passengers. Among others, PK Patra,General Secretary,Dandapani Nayak,ex-Corporator,BeMC,Jitendra Sahu,Hariprasad Malana,working president,Sanjay Majhi,VP,Ms.Bandita Tripathy,Pradeep Panda,Ms. Namitarani Rout,DK Rao,Ms.Annapurna Behera,Umashankar Pani,Promod Moharana,Manoj Kumar Sahu,Mahendra Patra,Jitendra Muni,Suresh Chandra Tripathy,Ms.Sabita Sahu,RPF staff members and Railway Station staff members took active participation on this occasion.
