Bhubaneswar, (19 Aug '2019): Noted socio-political leader, Chairman of SNSMT and lead member of Netaji movement Shri. Suparno Satpathy yesterday had called out on the Principal Spokesperson, GoI and Principal Director General of Press Information Bureau (PIB) Sitanshu Kar for wrong information being put out on the PIB twitter handle.
PIB had put out a tweet reading 'PIB remembers the great freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Candra Boss on his death anniversary'
To this Shri. Suparno Satpathy in a tweet replied that this is highly irresponsible of PIB to have put this out. He mentioned three points. 1) Today is not his punyatithi, 2) It's Subhas and not SubhasH and 3) 18 Aug 1945, no air crash. Shri. Satpathy had also appraised PM Narendra Modi as well as HM Amit Shah about the said.
Condemnations for PIB on this haven't been stopping. The National Archive of India website which PM Narendra Modi himself had inaugurated on 23 Jan 2016 reads that Netaji did not die in the plane crash, as alleged.
Condemnations for this fake news by PIB came in from MP Subramanian Swami, by BJP W.Bengal VP Chandra Kumar Bose , by author Anuj Dhar and by several others.
As reported the PMO took serious cognizance of this major lapse by PIB and this reporter is conveyed that PM on his return from Bhutan personally reprimanded and the said tweet of PIB has now been pulled down. The deletion of this tweet confirms the direction this current ruling dispensation is looking at. It appears that the personal commitment given by PM Modi on solving the Bose mystery may soon be a reality, just as the abrogation of Article 370 is.
Few Netaji files were declassified by CM Mamata Banerjee and few by PM Narendra Modi. However, several other files are yet to be declassified till the full mystery of Netaji SC Bose comes out in the open.
