Bhubaneswar;Padmabibhusan Dr.Raghunath Mohapatra inaugurated “ Art Pilgrimage” a group exhibition of drawings and paintings by Artists of Odisha and Banaras on Friday , at Subhadra Art Gallery, Bhubaneswar. Senior I.A.S. and Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Trust,Puri , famous cine artist Dr Ashru Mochan Mohanty and Prasanta Patnaik, Editor of Sanchar attended as guests.
Among others Prof. S. Param Singh, Founder of Anand-One, Varanasi briefed the audience about the purpose of the Art Pilgrimage from Banaras to Bhubaneswar to interact with the people of the pilgrim cities and to encourage the artists.
As many as 20 artists from Banaras participated and exhibited their best paintings and drawings which were highly appreciated by large number of art lovers, critics and media persons.
Excellent art works of nine guest artists were also displayed. They were Arun Kumar Pallur, Baladev Maharatha, Binodini Behera, Manad Ranjan Jena, Raghunath Sahoo, Sanjata K.C., Sureswae Dhala and Tuhina Joshi.
Participants from Banaras included Asha Prakash, Ajaya Upasani, Dr Gitika, Dr Sarada Singh, Dr Sunil Kumar Singh Kushawaha. Jyotsna Mishra, Nidhi Tripathy, Pankaj Sharma, Pankaj Kumat Verma, Pankaj Verma, Rahul Singh, S. Parnam Singh, Sankaya Kumar, Shalini Yadav, Sjradha Chaturvedi, Snehalata, Satyend ra Singh Booni, Sunil Kumar Viswakarma and Visakha Pathak.
The Kalbela Dance by Prof S. Pranam Singh, Arcylic on Canvas, Devotion-II by Aasha Prakash, “Man Vrs Nature” by Ajay Upasani, “Dream to Fly” by Dr Sharada Singh, “Holy City of Kashi” by Jyotana Mishra, “Folk Art “ by Nidhi Trpatrhy, “ Power of Nature” by Rajiba Lochan Sahoo, “Affection” by Sanjay Kumar, ‘Mystry” by Sttendra Singh Baoni, and “Butterflies” by Tuhina Joshi were largely appreciated by the visitors.”Mathuragaman” by late Laxminarayan Sahoo was an unique display.
The exhibition will remain open till 23rd June for the visitors.
