PRASANTA PATNAIK HONORED WITH BARENDRA DHAL SMRTUTI SAMMAN

Bhubaneswar.(06/04/2017): Eminent media person , columnist, writer  , Prasanta Patnaik was honored with 1st Barendra Dhal Smruti Samman during the inaugural function of 33rd Bhubaneswar Pustak Mela on Wednesday at a special mandap named after Barenbdra Krushna Dhal, the founder secretary of the Committee  . Padma Bibhusan Dr Sitakanta Mohapatra ,  Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Mr Sanjaya Das Burma , Dr Ashok Das, Vice-Chancellor of Utkal University and Dr Satakadi Hota , Presudent of Bhubaneswar Pustak Mela Committee felocited Mr Patnaik for his remarkable contribution in the field of media in Odisha. 

Others who were felicited by the committee included  lyricist Naryan Prasad Singh, Dr. Tulasi Ojha, linguist Rohit Kumar Patel, Dr. Hrushikesh Mallick ( Sachi Routray Kabita Samman), Dr. Archana Nayak ( Bijaya Krushna Mohanty galpa Samman).

Speaking to media persons , Prasanta Patnaik said that he was very happy to receive  the !st Barebdra Dhal Smruti Samman as Mr Dhal was a very close frienf of him and will be ever remembered for his contributions in the field of journalism, creative writings and an excellent organiser. Bhubaneswar Pustak Mela was founded by him 33 years ago with eminent writers like Satkadi Hota, Jugal Kishore Dutta and others which was the first book fair in the State and had contributed to strengthen the publication industry while creating a large number of readers.
