RURAL VOLLEYBALL AT NTPC TALCHER KANIHA Featured

Talcher,17/12/18:The 16th one Day Volleyball tournament was organised by Sports Council NTPC on 16.12.2018 under CSR initiative which saw participation of 28 village teams from nearby areas of Kaniha Block. 

The final of the tournament was played between village team “Takua” and “Rangabeda” in which Takua emerged as the winner.The closing ceremony was attended by Santosh James CGM NTPC Kaniha, RajatKanti Mishra CMO NTPC Kaniha hospital, D K Sahu AGM (Operation), Rajeev Agarwal AGM, and Shri KC Maharana President Sports council. 

On the occasion, Volleyball Net and Ball was distributed to all the village teams for promoting of the sport. CGM Shri Santosh James congratulated the finalists ,handed over the trophies and shared that such type of Sports Meet will create a sporting atmosphere in the Rural holds. 

It being a big treat for sports lovers as since last week NTPC Kaniha has been organizing series of Rural Sports events like Rural Athletic from December 14 -15 ,2018 ,Rural Volleyball on December 16,2018 & Rural Kabbadi on December 17,2018. 

Employees and their family members and local sports enthusiasts have participated in large numbers to enjoy the game and encourage the players of the various tournament.
