Cuttack,06/08/17:Basing on the allegation of acquisition and possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income by Lalitendu Jena, D.F.O., North Division, Kalahandi, Bhawanipatna, his (1) Residential house at Gajapati Nagar, Bhubaneswar,(2) Paternal house at Jhanjir Mangala, Rajabagicha, PS. Purighat, Cuttack (3) Father-in-law house at Rasulgarh, Bhubaneswar, (4) Govt. Quarter at Bhawanipatna, Kalahandi and (5) Office Room at Bhawanipatna weresimultaneously searched on 05.08.2017 by the Officers of Koraput Vigilance Division, Jeypore on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Court of Spl. Judge, Vigilance, Bhawanipatna.

Late Allahad Jankiar of Village Arbajharabahal, PS. Brahmanitaranga, Dist. Sundargarh, A/P. Working as night watcher of Jadakudar High School, Dist. Sundargarh with an assurance not to take any action against him for his absence on duty.
House Search of Chief Engineer, Rengali Irrigation Project
Cuttack,23/08/17: Basing on the allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income by Sri Gunadhar Mishra, Chief Engineer, Rengali Irrigation Project, Samal, Dist. Angul, enquiry was taken up by the officers of Vigilance officers, Dhenkanal Unit. After thorough enquiries, search warrants were issued from the Hon’ble Court and basing on the search warrants, his (1) residential house at Borapada Khamar, PS. Town Dist, Dhenkanal, (2) paternal house atKalingapala, PS. Rasol, Dist. Dhenkanal, (3) Father-in-law’s house at Ratna Bazar, PS.- Town, Dist. Dhenkanal and (4) office room and Govt. residential Quarter at Rengali Irrigation Project, Samal, Dist.- Angul were simultaneously searched today i.e. on 22.08.2017 by the Officers of Vigilance, Cuttack Division.
FOREST RANGE OFFICER ARRESTED BY VIGILANCE ON GRAFT CHARGE.
Cuttack,On 29.08.2017, Sahaji Charan Biswal, Forest Range Officer, Brahmagiri Range, under DFO, Wild Life, Puri was caught red handed by the Officers of Vigilance, Bhubaneswar Division, while demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs.35,000/- from the Complt. Sri Niranjan Pradhan, S/o Bhuban Pradhan of Gola Sahi, P.S-Sadar, Puri to request the Asst. Conservator of Forest, Puri (addl. charge of Brahmagiri range) to issue timber transport permit in his favour for transportation of 07 trips of casuarinas (jhaun).
CDPO arrested in Odisha for accepting bribe
Bhubaneswar,01/09/17: Kabita Chhotray, C.D.P.O. Bhubaneswar Rural was caught red handed by the Officers of Vigilance, BhubaneswarDivision, while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 50,000/- from Smt. Banabasini Mallik, W/o. Dhaneswar Mallik, Vill. Jayapur, PS. Dhauli, Dist. Khurda (Secretary of Dhauli S.S.G) for passing of Chhatua bills amounting Rs. 5,60,706/-. Smt. Mallik consisting of 11 members of Dhauli S.S.G. had submitted Chhatua bills for the month of June and July-2017 through C.D.P.O. for forwarding the same to the Dist. Magistrate Khurda for payment. Smt. Chhotray demanded bribe of Rs. 50,000/- for the above purpose. Finding no other option Complt. Smt. Mallik reported the matter to S.P. Vigilance Bhubaneswar for taking legal action.
IIC AND HAVILDAR ARRESTED BY VIGILANCE ON GRAFT CHARGE
Cuttack,08/09/17:On 08.09.2017, Sri Nilakantha Prasad Patra, IIC and Sri Debendra Prasad Nayak, Crime Havildar, both of Sadar Police Station, Kendrapara were caught red handed by the Officers of Vigilance, Cuttack Division while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.5,000/- from Sri Chinmay Kar, S/o. Satrughana Kar of village Bhagabanpur, PS/Dist. Kendrapara with an assurance not to arrest and forward him in Judicial Custody in connection with Kendrapara Sadar PS Case No. 284 dt.01.09.17 U/s 341/323/379/354/506 IPC, where he has been cited as an accused in the FIR.
