Sambalpur,06/04/19:Sambalpur Vigilance P.S. Case No.11 dt.05.04.2019 u/s  7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act,1988, as amended by the Prevention of Corruption  (Amendment)  Act,2018 has been registered    against  Sri Dhruba Charan Behera, Dy. Forest Range Officer, Nrusinghanath Forest Range Office, Dist.Bargarh for demand of bribe of Rs.50,000/- from the Complainant  Sri Rajkumar Chalan, S/o Late Lokanath Chalan, Vill-Goimundi, PS-Khariar, Dist.Nuapada (Retired Forster, Jamset Section under Nrusinghanath Forest Range, Dist.Bargarh) for giving No Due Certificate required for sanction of pension of the Complt.

A trap was laid on 06.04.2019. Accused Dhruba Charan Behera, Dy. Forest Range Officer, Nrusinghanath Forest Range Office, Dist.Bargarh  was caught   by the vigilance officials today i.e. on 06.04.2019 at 11.30 A.M. inside the entrance room of his residential Govt. quarter situated in the campus of the Nrusinghanath Forest Range Office  while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.50,000/- from the Complainant. The accused received the demanded bribe money of Rs.50,000/- from the Complainant by his right hand and while counting the same by both his hands sitting on a chair, he was caught by Vigilance raiding party. The hand wash   of both hands of accused   in sodium carbonate solution turned to pink in colour confirming acceptance of bribe money by him. The   bribe money of Rs.50,000/- have been recovered from   his exclusive   possession. Accused Dhruba Charan Behera, Dy. Forest Range Officer, Nrusinghanath Forest Range Office, Dist.Bargarh has been arrested   and   forwarded   to the court of Hon'ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur.
