Cops unearth huge cache of arms belonging to LWEs in Mohona,Odisha Featured

Berhampur,05/04/19: Mohona police team recovered huge haul of weapons in Bhaliagada Jungle in Gajapati district ,Odisha on Friday morning

The Gajapati SP,Ms.Sara Sharma told to scribes that  on dated 4/5.2019  while SK Nayak,IIC,Mohona Police station  with his team discharging  their duties in  the area domination  at  Malaspadar Gram Panchayat  they  received information from their own input   that the LWEs have dumped  some arm and ammunition inside the Bhaliagada  Jungle. Following the information the  IIC and his team proceed towards the suspected place  as shown by the spy. 

It was claimed to be the biggest haul of arms and ammunition from the area after long gap and mainly during the General Election time. She added. 

While interacted with the IIC,Mohona,Sujit Kumar Nayak,he reported during the search in the jungle at around  5 AM my  team able to identify  the dumping spot  and while digging  most surprisingly  we recovered  one INSAS rifle and huge amount of ammunitions from dumping place(!). 

Apart of this another team lead by Sub Inspector,Pinky Murmu ,Hemanta Sethy  and CISF while performing the domination duty  in Hichagandhi Village  which is  nearby the Jungle area  they apprehended  two persons Rabi Mallik and  Hariraj Mallik of Village  Betingi with two nos of un-licence  illegal SBML Gun with gun powder and lead bullets. 

In this connection Mohona Police registered a case under section 25/27 arms act  r/w sec 9(B)/(b) explosive act 1884.
