WORLD BREAST FEEDING WEEK CELEBRATED BY BIPF, IMFA Featured

Jajpur,(Kaliapani),05/08/19:World breast feeding week is an annual celebration which is being held every year from 1st August to 8th August all over the globe to encourage breastfeeding and to improve the health of babies in the world. In this view Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation (BIPF) a CSR wing of IMFA observed World Breast Feeding week on 5th Aug 2019 through  a awareness programme with the help of anganwadi and ASHA workers at Gopabandhu Club, Kaliapani, Jajpur. In this event CDPO Mrs. Sanjukta Kanungo  representated as chief guest in presence of Mrs Bhagabati Mahanta (Ex Chairman & Advisor SRCKMS), Mr Narayan Chandra Dhir (Gen Sec.SRCKMS), Mr. Ashish Jena (Social Worker). From IMFA management, Lalatendu Mahapatra ( General Manager Mines) & Mr Babit Nanda (General Manager Supply Chain).More than 150 nos of women participated which includes pregnant ladies, newly married couple & mothers . The objectives of the celebrations was to focus on empowering parents for enabling breastfeeding, although breastfeeding is the mother’s domain but when fathers/partners support Breastfeeding and have responsive relationships with their infants, there is an improvement in breastfeeding practices and parental relationships. Additionally, fathers also become more attached to their infants, and their infants develop more quickly. The programme facilitated by BIPF team and PR team Mr Deepak mohanty (Program Officer BIPF), Mrs Hemalata Mahanta, Mr Purna Chandra Mahanta,Mr Milan Ranjan Kar(Sr officer public relation), Mr Sandeep Mishra (Officer public relation).
