Siddheswar,(Ganjam),17/11/18: Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS) Gopalpur, organized an eye cure camp at Siddheswar Grampanchyat office of Digapahandi block in collaboration with Sankara Eye Hospital, Samarjhola on November 13, 2018. Smt. Anita Kumari swain, Sarapanch, and Mr. Gadadhar Jena, ex-Sarapanch of Siddheswar panchayat inaugurated the eye cure camp. Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Sahu, Chief Vision Care Technician of Sankara Eye Hospital examined the patients who attended the camp.
112 eye patients from Siddheswar, Ganeswarpur, Gopalpur, Bhaliaguda, Adikandapur and Dhepagudda villages of Digapahandi block attended the eye camp and availed the services provided. Eye glasses were given to 26 eye patients and medicines were given to 36 eye patients free of cost. 25 patients were detected for cataract operation and will be operated soon at Sankara Eye Hospital, Samarjhola through financial assistance offered by Tata Steel Rural Development Society, Gopalpur.
Mr Nalini Kanta Rauta and the team of Sankara Eye Hospital participated in this camp for the eye check-up of the patients. Mr. Rajib Bisoyi and team of PAL Charity volunteered in the eye camp. Officers of Tata Steel Rural Development Society present on the occasion were instrumental in smoothly conducting the health camp.
