TATA STEEL ORGANISES MEGA HEALTH CAMP AT R DAMODARPALLI VILLAGE Featured

Dharakote,(Ganjam)October 30, 2018: Tata Steel in association with its CSR wing, Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS) organized one day free Mega Health Camp along with awareness campaign on good Health at R Damodarpalli village under Dharakote block on October 30, 2018. The objective of the camp was to provide specialized health care services to the community and create awareness about good health. Mrs. Latika Pradhan, Chairman of State Social and welfare board, Odisha, inaugurated the Health Camp along with Mr Surya Kumar Reddy, Sarapancha of R. Damodarpalli panchayat. 

More than 650 patients from villages of R. Damodarpalli, Kusuruba, Kalasandhapur, Kamasala, Sradhapur, Dhaugaon, D. Damodarpalli, Dharakote, Taragaon, Sanamahi, Ghaasabilli and Aska benefitted from the day long Health Camp. Free medicines were provided along with consultation by specialist doctors from MKCG Medical College and MEDICA Hospital. Doctors across disciplines like Dr. Jogendra Patra, Medicine, Dr. Santi Priya Murmu, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. Rina Mehera, Pediatric, Dr. K Smita, Dentist, Dr. N C Mahanta and Dr. Asutosh Dash, Medical Officer of MEDICA Hospital attended to the patients. Apart from free health check-up and medicines, 130 people under went eye check up by Mr Chitrasena Gauda, Chief Vison Care Technician of Sankar Eye Hospital among which 37 patients were detected for cataract operation and will be operated soon at Sankara Eye Hospital, Samarjhola through financial assistance offered by Tata Steel Rural Development Society. The pathological tests were also conducted for 82 diabetic patients. Officers of Tata Steel Rural Development Society present on the occasion were instrumental in smoothly conducting the health camp.
