TATA STEEL ORGANISES A MEGA HEALTH CAMP AT LUHAJHARA PANCHAYAT Featured

Ganjam (Luhajhara)11/09/18:Tata Steel in association with its CSR wing, Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS) organized a one day free Mega Health Camp along with Awareness campaign on good Health at Luhajhar Gram Panchayat office under Rangailundha block on September 11, Tuesday. The objective of the camp was to provide specialized health care services to the community and create awareness about good health. Mrs. D Damayanti Reddy, Sarapancha, Luhajhara and Mr. Binod Mahakuda, Samitisabhya, Luhajhara, inaugurated the Health Camp. 

More than 500 patients from villages of Sindhigaon, Badapur, Patrapur, Paikapada, Sitalapalli, Madua and Tata Steel Rehabilitation Colony nearby areas were benefitted from the day long Health Camp. Free medicines were provided along with consultation by specialist doctors from MKCG Medical College and MEDICA Hospital. Doctors across disciplines like Dr. Swarup Mallik, Medicine, Dr. Santi Priya Murmu, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. Rina Mehera, Pediatric and Dr. Madhusudana Panda, Medical Officer of MEDICA Hospital attended to the patients. Apart from free health check-up and medicines, 132 people under went eye check up by Miss E Kameswari, Chief Vison Care Technician of Sankar Eye Hospital among which 36 patients were detected for cataract operation and will be operated soon at Sankara Eye Hospital, Samarjhola through financial assistance offered by Tata Steel Rural Development Society. The pathological tests were also conducted for 85 diabetic patients. 

Mr Rajender Kumar Singh, Head R&R and Administration along with all officers of Tata Steel and TSRDS and Mr Nalini Kanta Raut of Sankar Eye Hospital were present in the function.
