According to villagers and Sarapach that during the financial year 2012-13 Govt of Odisha sanctioned Rs 101.58 lakhs to Khairakhamma Panchayt to construct over head tank with capacity of 1 lakh liters,Pump House, to lay pipe lines in entire Panchayat.. Soon getting the sanction amount Block administration floated tender and work order issued to contractor with a strict instruction to complete the work within stipulated time limit.
Following instruction the contractor did the assignment and the same is inaugurated by Naveen Patnaik, Honble’Chief Minister, Odisha through Video Conference during the year 2017-18. The day of Inauguration the local political leaders are very happy and celebrated and said,” look how our Government is very much Committed” (?).
But to the surprise of villagers soon after the inauguration after 15 minutes of the inauguration the entire system de-functional and no water supply yet till date while today the mercury leads around 30-35 degree.( ?).
While the Villagers reported to Panchayat Executive Officer Mr Surendranath Sethy he said “I am nothing to do because the RWSS not handed over to us” simply thrown the ball into contractor court (!).
Again they met Mr A Rama Rao, JE, RWSS, Beguniapada and in his reply he satisfied the villagers that you people have not yet formed your Village committee so that we are helpless and can’t run the Pump for supply (?).
Today the pump house condition is completely damaged, Motor also not working as told by a Senior citizen of the village.
