Koraput,02/04/19:The Chancellor of Central University of Orissa  Prof. P.V.Krishna Bhatta arrived at Koraput on a two day visit. On the first day he visited the departments at the Sunabeda Campus and the Central Library there. On the afternoon he delivered a special lecture on the topic “Role of. youth in nation building “. The  function was presided over by the Vice Chancellor I/C Prof. Sharat Kumar Palita. In his speech he highlighted the role of youth as the nation builders and advised that they should try their best for character building.  

Prof. P.V. Krishna Bhatta , in his address said that the youth are the future of the nation. The education provided to the youth should not be based on getting degrees only. The education should be based on acquiring knowledge not only for self but also for the society. Education should be focused on getting employability. India has a rich philosophy and strong social structure to stand against the western world which is looking into India for getting guidance through philosophy. The youth should focus on enhancing moral values first. Indian culture focuses a holistic view of life. Spiritual values must supersede material values. The youth should follow the Indian philosophy for nation building. He hoped that one day Bharat will be a global spiritual leader.  

The Registrar of the University Prof. Asit Kumar Das proposed the Vote of Thanks. The lecture was attended by all the faculty members, students and scholars. 

During the afternoon he visited both the hostels and also interacted with the faculty members, students and staff separately.
