Berhampur,07/09/19:In receipt of various section of complaint from people Berhampur SP,Mr Pinak Mishra has shown some kindness for the time being as relax to public and clarified regarding the fine compounded against traffic violations.
He said that Police will restrict the fine amount within the range Rs.1000/- and the fine amount will not be more than Rs.1000/- for the time being. If any rider not carrying DL/RC and other documents they can produce the document later.
Their details will be referred to the RTO,Ganjam for necessary action. Police will strictly enforce on three violations mainly non-use of helmets, use of mobile phones while driving and drunken driving. Riders/Drivers found drunk will be arrested and forwarded to the court.
He appeal through Media all through the medium class people to educate to follow the traffic and MV rules and help us in ensuring safety.

Berhampur,06/09/19:Why the parents of College going students even to coaching centres are not serious about the new MV act which is already implemented in city last four days.
To make awareness many NGO even Berhampur Press people made a Bike rally in city to awake the people of Berhampur city.
Ofcource people will say many talk as a token of plea to escape from the fine like sufficient parking space across the Mahanagar, road widening etc..though demands are genuine but everything not be possible to complete overnight. To meet such demand BeMC authority already started their work.
In support to such noble cause and for the larger interest of city some senior citizen reported to Odishabarta that they observed many lapses that college students are going to many coaching centres at morning hours and evening hours without Helmet and using tele-talk during drive. Even they completely jam the main roads at the end hours of tuitions as a result the traffic congestion also a reason for others. They appeal to administration through Media to draw the notice of the concern coaching centres and warned them to abide the rules also to communicate their parents.
SP, Berhampur Mr Pinak Mishra stated that, It is encouraging to observe that after the coming into force the amended MV Act there has been considerable improvement in obedience to traffic and MV rules.
It is heartening to see that more and more people are using helmets and seat belts. However, few incidents have also come to the notice where people in order to avoid challan are getting into argument with the traffic cops.
There have also been instances where minor accident reported as the rider was attempting to escape from the spot to avoid challan and was pulled back by traffic personnel. Such incidents are exceptions. Berhampur Police would like to make it clear that our objective is not to impose fine, we dont derive happiness by imposing fine.
We are also not looking to harass anyone. We are just interested in your safety and well-being & reducing road accidents. So, we will enforce the law strictly. You just follow the rules, be law abiding you will be safe and you will save others too.
Let the public make it underlined that “We are not harassing public” after implementation of newly amended MV act further he added.

Parlakhemundi,04/09/19:A youth was arrested today for allegedly cheating a person on pretext of providing him a job in Railway in Odisha’s Gajapati district.
The accused was identified as Krushna Chandra Sahu of Mahachhai village under Kabisuryanagar police limits. He was arrested following a complaint by the victim Subrat Kumar Patra.
Accoridng to Mr Bibeka Swain,IIC,Model Police station of Paralakhemundi,he said, the complaint, Patra, a resident of Gurandi, alleged that Sahu impersonating as a journalist duped him of Rs 60,000 and Aadhaar card with false assurance of providing him a job in Railway.So we registered a case at our Model Police Station.
The accused was arrested and forwarded to the court. He was booked under sections 419/420/294/323/506 of IPC, said Paralakhemundi Model Police Station IIC,Mr Swain in a release.
Similarly on 01/08/19 the Berhampur Sadar police arrested four persons who were allegedly posing as journalists and threatening a school teacher in the area in allegation of MDM meals.
According to reports, they went to a school in the area, where they threatened a teacher and tried to extort money from him.
During police interrogation, it came to fore that they are fake journalists and the police have seized a car, a camera, a boom and fake identity cards were seized from their possession.
Jharsuguda,04/09/19: In a daring heist, armed miscreants looted over Rs 14 lakh from a private bank at Belpahar in Jharsuguda district in broad daylight today.
As per reports, around six miscreants came in a numberless SUV wearing masks and stopped before Axis Bank at Gumadera in Belpahar area between 1 PM and 2 PM. Two of them pulled down the bank shutter and waited outside, while four barged inside and opened blank fire.
They later looted over Rs 14 lakh cash by brandishing gun. They also attacked a customer and the manager of the branch and smashed mobiles phones of three customers present inside the bank during the dacoity, sources added.
On receiving information, police led by Jharsuguda SP Ashwini Mohanty along with a scientific team reached the spot and began an investigation into the incident.
Berhampur,(Golonthara),03/09/19:An ambulance driver was killed after being hit by a speeding truck on National Highway 16 under Golanthara police limits in Berhampur Police district on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Nagaraju Dalapati of Anaguda village in Ganjam.
According to reports, Dalapati was returning from Puri in his Ambulance (OR-075-AK -7175). On the way, he halted at a place and went for some work after parking the ambulance along the road. While crossing the road, he was hit by a speeding truck (UP-17-T-6155) and died on the spot.
On being informed, Mr Babuli Nayak,Inspector in Charge,Golanthara police with his team reached the spot in time and sent the body of the deceased to MKCG-MCH,Berhampur for post-mortem.
Further,Nayak,IIC said we have seized both the vehicles.
Bolangir: A school teacher allegedly lured a college girl into physical relation and subsequently made the video clip of the intimate moment viral on social media.
While the viral video is doing the rounds on social media, the college girl has lodged a complaint in this regard. Acting swiftly, the police registered a case (26/19) and launched a probe into the matter.
According to sources, the victim, who hails from Asuramunda, is a student of a college situated under Bangomunda police limits in the district. The accused is a teacher and posted in Chhitakel primary school under Ghagurli panchayat of Belpada block.
The victim alleged that the teacher kept physical relation with her on the pretext of marriage and subsequently uploaded the intimate video on the social media platforms.
The victim further alleged that she used to go to college alone and one day the accused teacher offered her lift near Ganrei Square. However, instead of dropping her at college the accused took her into a forest and outraged her modesty. The accused also managed to convince her not to reveal the matter to anybody by promising to marry her.
After the obscene photographs did rounds on social media, it came to the notice of the victim’s family. Later, they lodged a complaint with Muribahal police station.
While a probe is underway into the matter, the accused teacher is on the run, said Muribahal inspector-in-charge LN Bhoi.
Bhubaneswar,03/09/19:Six days after an edible oil manufacturing unit was busted in Bampakuda area of Phulnakhara in Cuttack district, yet another such illegal unit was also found operating in Laxmisagar area here according to Commissionrat Police.
Acting in action a team of Police officials of Laxmisagar police station conducted a raid on the unit and seized around 2,000 litres of adulterated edible oil kept in containers with labels of various reputed brands.
The confirmed sources said, the adulterated edible oil, ghee il were being manufactured in the illegal industry (!).
Police seized huge cache of raw materials and duplicate oil of several brands and labels. In connection the Police also arrested four persons.
Police are now in deep investigating of the sensitive matter to know from where the raw materials imports and by whom the accused used to get sell the duplicate products (?).
Jajpur,Today at evening in between Chudakal chhak to Gobindabati Chhak of MDR 14 road from Bari - Baruan road a sever road accident between two motorcycles happened and a middle aged person named Gunanidhi Behera of Balipatna , Kundapatna village found very sever in condition . With him a four year boy met a minor accident. They have forwarded to the District head quarter hospital Jajpur for the preliminary treatment With the help of local people of Kimbhiriapal ,Bainsiria GP due to non availability of 108 ambulance though contacted many times .
As per information collected the kid is now safe and the middle aged person has been referred to the SCB medical for the next treatment after doctors reported as he is very serious. The rider was driven the vehicle without the helmet.
