Ofcource people will say many talk as a token of plea to escape from the fine like sufficient parking space across the Mahanagar, road widening etc..though demands are genuine but everything not be possible to complete overnight. To meet such demand BeMC authority already started their work.

In support to such   noble cause and  for the larger interest of city some senior citizen reported to Odishabarta that they observed many lapses that  college students are going to many coaching centres at morning hours and evening hours without Helmet and using tele-talk during drive. Even they completely jam the main roads at the end hours of tuitions as a result the traffic congestion also a reason for others. They appeal to administration through Media to draw the notice of the concern coaching centres and  warned them to abide the rules also  to communicate their parents.

SP, Berhampur Mr Pinak Mishra stated that, It is encouraging to observe that after the coming into force the amended MV Act there has been considerable improvement in obedience to traffic and MV rules.

It is heartening to see that more and more people are using helmets and seat belts. However, few incidents have also come to the notice where people in order to avoid challan are getting into argument with the traffic cops.

There have also been instances where minor accident reported as the rider was attempting to escape from the spot to avoid challan and was pulled back by traffic personnel. Such incidents are exceptions. Berhampur Police would like to make it clear that our objective is not to impose fine, we dont derive happiness by imposing fine.

We are also not looking to harass anyone. We are just interested in your safety and well-being & reducing road accidents. So, we will enforce the law strictly. You just follow the rules, be law abiding you will be safe and you will save others too.
