Kortaput,02/03/19:Police arrested four more persons in Koraput districts today for allegedly making Odia question paper viral on February 22. While four persons were arrested by Sunabeda Police in Bandhugaon block of Koraput district.
According to reports, four persons which includes one photocopy shop owner and three parents of students were arrested for making the Odia question paper viral at Bandhugaon High school in Koraput. The police seized one laptop, a photocopy machine and mobiles from the accused persons.
Sunabeda SDPO Niranjan Behera said, “We had registered two cases in connection with the Odia question paper viral incident at Bandhugaon High School on February 22. Today, we arrested four persons for allegedly taking snaps of the question paper and photocopying it before putting them on social media. We will forward them to court today.”
The repeated question leak incidents have exposed the incapacity and inefficiency of School and Mass education department as well as Board of Secondary Education authority. Therefore, the concerned minister should take serious action " said senior citizen in a statement.

Bhubaneswar,22/02/19: Odisha Police which wants to leave no stone unturned in preparing for the upcoming general elections, held an Inter State Coordination Meeting with its counterparts from five neighbouring states here today.
Top cops of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Telangana and West Bengal attended the meeting which was held at Odisha DGP Camp Office.
Addressing at the meeting, which is underway, Odisha DGP RP Sharma led emphasis on interstate cooperation during upcoming election to tackle challenges posed by left wing extremists. Sharma who chaired the meeting anticipated Maoist violence in the coming days and told the police officials of other states to share intelligence inputs in this connection.
As per the sources, during the meeting the cops also discussed on several others aspects like checking illegal fund inflow for poll expenditure and movement of criminals into each other’s territory as well as drug trafficking.
Along with Sharma Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Asit Tripathy, CRPF IGP (Odisha), BSF IGP (Odisha) AK Singh and Intelligence DIGP Amresh Mishra among others were present at the meeting.
Ganjam,13/02/19:Khalikote Police foiled a dacoity bid here on Wednesday and arrested three members of a gang. Acting on a tip off, a special squad of Khalokote police team headed by IIC,Bibekananda Swain,SDPO,Ramesh Chandra Sethy and other experts they raided the gang`s hideout and arrested the trio, Ganjam superintendent of police Brijesh Rayl said.
The accused persons namely Alok Pradhan,Jitu Pandi of Khojapalli and Ajaya Gouda.
Police have recovered 9.30 kg silver, 126 grams gold cash 19000 two motor cycle, 6 mobile handsets and one knife from their possession.
Brijesh said, all were produced before a court here which remanded them to jail custody
Bhubaneswar,12/02/19:The Odisha government effected a major reshuffle in the IPS cadre and assigned new job profiles to several senior police officers on Tuesday.
This is being linked to the Election Commission of India recent directive asking the state governments to transfer senior bureaucrats and police officers, who have spent three years or more in the present posting. ROURKELA,09/02/19:Koira police on 8th of this month has arrested four persons allegedly duping drivers, driving big commercial vehicles on NH-215/520 presenting them as they are officials of RTO. This forged activity was undertaken from 4th to 6th of this month at midnight. All the accuses are Laxmidhar Panda(39) a teacher, Shambhunath Das(30)garden care taker under forest department, Basant Kumar Rourtray(48) and Ranjan Kumar Ojha, driver of Scorpio vehicle used for this cheating activity. As per the sources, these four persons were collecting money as fake RTO officials and had followed the procedure in the manner RTO official does verification of documents. During verifying documents they were frightening them as if the documents were having many faults; hence, to avoid consequences they charged huge money from them. Many victims of this operation had suspected the activities after they found, the raid are being done in the same place for days together. They united and caught hold of all those duplicate RTO officials. The owner of the Scorpio finding this had lodged one complaint with Koira police and then, Sushant Kumar Das, IIC, Koira and his team have arrested this gang and sent them to Bonei Jail. Police has alos seized cash worth of Rs.10,200/-, mobile phones, two pairs brown uniforms for forest officials and a Scorpio vehicle used for the crime.
Bhanjanagar,(Ganjam)07/02/19:Panic gripped the locals after unidentified miscreants hurled bombs in main road Bhanjanagar market in Ganjam district on Thursday.The incident occurred at around 5.30 pm while there was a power cut at the locality.
According to Utkal Keshari Das,SDPO,Bhanjanagar, three bike-borne miscreants first exploded a country-made bomb in front of Axis Bank Puruna Bazar branch. Then they targeted Jagannath Jewellery, Hero dealer Rebati Motors, a liquor outlet along with another shop with more bombs before speeding away through the bypass road.However,no casualty was reported.

On intimation, Bhanjanagar Town PS staff reached the spot and launched a probe into the incident. Reportedly, efforts to identify the culprits is underway.The accused persons are already identified and nab soon ,Das said.

Briefing to press Mr Santanu Kumar Dash, ASP, Berhampur told, on 01/02/19 one complainant Mangilal Rathod presently residing at Sana Bazar location of Berhampur city reported at BN Pur Police station that, while he was returning from village Narendrapur in his scooty all of a sudden three unknown persons came in a Pulsar bike from opposite direction near lanjipalli and stopped him on the point of sword and took him nearby field looted Cash Rs 8000/- one gold chain.
In a another occurrence on dated. 4th feb,at 12.30 basis on the complainant S.Santosh Reddy of village old Khajuria,Berhampur reported at Gosaninuagaon police station that when he was proceeding to Haladiapadar to repair his faulty cable connections in his bike on the way at over bridge all of a sudden three unknown came in a Pulsar bike and stopped him on the point of swords. They abused and threatened him. Forcing fear on him they took his costly mobile set, one gold finger and cash @ Rs.4000/-.
When police found the modesty of the offence they confirmed the involvement of both the cases are common.
Basing on the ground zero evidence Mr Pinak Mishra SP,Berhampur formed a team of competent police officers Mr BIshnu Pati,SDPO,City,JK Patnaik,IIC,BN Pur and Kulamani Sethy,IIC Gosainuagaon and instructed strictly to arrest all accuses in a stipulated time limits.
In action police could able to arrest to all three professional miscreants from city. The miscreants are identified as P.Siva Das,Lanjipalli,Koka Das,Bhabinipur and Chinku Das from Khodasingi.
Elaborating to press Dash,ASP further said that, basing on the evidences collected the noted accused persons have been arrested on 7th Feb and while they under police custody all confessed their guilt to have committed robbery.
