Beguniapada,29/04/19:Shortage of fertiliser during paddy crops has put the fate of a large number of farmers in the district are always at stake. Pesticides and fertiliser becoming a scarce in Ganjam. Thousands of farmers in the district are facing difficulties in procuring the requisite quantity of Pesticides.
From our ground zero investigation we found some Mafias are mainly they are active in rural villages and different Panchayats.Holding very nice shake hands with support of BJD leader and with the authorised stockist lifting from their stock yard with very low cost and selling in the local market in higher price.
The shortage is always threatening the timely sowing of paddy crops in the district.
We found the rason shop of Debaraj Sahu of village Mathasarsingi who opined displaying the pesticides for sale (?) While discussed with sahu he said “I am with this business with the top authority of Beguniapada Block and blessing of ruling political leaders of Block (?).
One reputed farmer of Beguiapada Block of Matahasarsingi village, said, our livelihood is at stake, all our pleas for fertiliser supply to the authorities concerned have fallen on deaf ears,”.
Contacted, Deputy Director of Agriculture department, Ganjam we have adequate stocks at different cooperative societies for the smooth distribution to the framers.
If so, now it’s a matter of question how the Pesticides and fertilizers are available in a rason shop without any licence (?) The role of Supply Inspector, Block agriculture officers are to be put under scanner.
Farmers demand for a high level inquiry into the matter. Why not “Stringent action not be taken against those involved in selling spurious pesticides,”
New Delhi,29/04/19:It refers to welcome news about 200 American companies shifting their manufacturing-units from China to India. It may be recalled that earlier on 09.7.2018 Prime Minister of India and President of South Korea jointly inaugurated largest manufacturing-unit in the world in a big 35-acre plant with capacity to produce 120 million mobile-phones set up by South Korean company Samsung in Noida (India) in tune with ‘Make in India’ concept. Earlier also way back in 2015, leading aircraft-manufacturer Airbus Industry (France) had announced investing $ two-billions in India for manufacture of aircraft-parts.
India is largest consumer-base after China and can devise ways so that global manufacturing-giants may be forced to set up manufacturing-units in India if they desire their brand-names being marketed in India. India is largest importer in the world for importing items of day-to-use like also computer-related items. India is definitely in a situation to on impose its terms on such imports. Many of the imported items are manufactured in collaboration in countries other than country of original manufacture owning the brand. Indian government should link import of largely used items with condition that brand-owning company may set up production-unit in India itself at least in cases where manufactured items are not being directly imported from the country the brand-owning company exists.
Since original toner and ink cartridges of computer-printers are sold at exorbitant prices by original manufacturers, condition should be that such accessories will be allowed to be manufactured by any desiring Indian manufacturer for making these available to consumers at much cheaper prices.

SUPREME COURT VERDICT AGAINST RBI DIRECTING INFORMATION ON BANK-DEFAULTERS: MHA SHOULD SNATCH PADMA AWARDS TO WILFUL BANK-DEFAULTERS AND OTHER UNDESERVING ONES
New Delhi,27/04/19:Supreme Court on 26.04.2019 gave historic verdict directing Reserve Bank of India RBI for disclosing information on bank-defaulters and inspection-reports of banks. Apex Court rightly gave stern warning to RBI for not trying to avoid Apex Court directions by issuing its own rules negating court-directions. Effect of Supreme court warning will be that notorious ultra-rich will now onwards under public-scrutiny and will not find it easy to flee the country after enjoying ultra-lavish life on public-money looted from banks.
There have been cases where previous governments gave reputed Padma awards to many undeserving persons including even those involved in crimes and even bank-defaulters. Union Ministry of Home Affairs should make a scrutiny of all those honoured with Padma awards in past first inviting their sue-motto disclosure about being involved in criminal cases or being wilful bank-defaulters. Those not filing sue-motto disclosure and those disclosing their being involved in controversial aspects should be deprived of Padma awards. Scrutiny of rest others should be done by investigating agencies for their retaining Padma award. Same should be system for giving Padma awards in future.
