SENIOR JOURNALIST DILIP SATPATHY PASSES AWAY Featured

Bhubaneswar,09/09/19:Senior journalist Dilip Satpathy passed away here late on Sunday night. He was 56. 

Reports said he suffered from cardiac arrest at around 12.30 AM and immediately rushed to a city-based private hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Long back, he was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer, which had relapsed three years ago. Last year, he had undergone radiation therapy.

Satpathy was the Resident Editor of national English daily Business Standard, Bhubaneswar edition. He had started his career as a reporter with Odisha Sun Times, a broadsheet published by Sambad group. Satpathy later joined Business Standard as State Correspondent before being elevated to Resident Editor of its Bhubaneswar edition.   

The journalist chose to remain single all his life due to the health issues. 

The entire Media fraternity has been left shocked and saddened at the sudden demise of the scribe.
