Berhampur,(21/08/19):50 days back a movement started from MKCG Medical college square, when some elite people of Berhampur City during the morning walk they felt the indecency of unnecessary posters pasted everywhere in beautiful walls in both the sides of the main roads. So,they started removing the posters from the walls. Journalists, Govt Employees, advocates and many house wives were in the team, subsequentely it became a daily practice.
Everybody appreciated the movement and joined hands. Doctors, senior citizens and morning walkers on road from different strata of the society were involved and the movement took momentum from Engineering School to the whole town.
Appreciating the move Ganjam Collector Mr Vijay Amruta Kulange made himself involved directly with this venture one and removed the posters at PVN Rao Petrol pump square. This again became a value edition to the movement. BeMC commissioner,Mr Chakravarty Singh Rathore,IAS also appreciated the move and ordered to impose fine on new poster stickers. The move is on and the participation of people increasing day by day.
The moral of the story is common citizens also can change the thought process of the mass. Everybody is equally responsible for maintaining the beauty of the city where he lives. Govt agencies are to execute plan and programs of the Government. If 130 Crs of people depend on Govt. for maintenance of their locality, as the chances are very limited.
People's participation always yields nice results and people must think about it. Not only posters on the walls, we be obliged to work together in stopping use of polythene and encouraging ample plantation to bring equilibrium in the environment.
