JK PAPERS TAKE UP CONFIDENCE BUILDING MEASURES FOR SCHOOL STUDENTS & ASSISTS MERITORIOUS ONES FOR HIGHER EDUCATION 

Rayagada, August 14: As a responsible corporate JK Paper Mills(JKPM) in Rayagada has been proactive in taking up series of activities to promote educational initiatives. Recently four tiny tots of Singhania Public School, a centre of excellence established by JKPM, helped a blind person to cross a heavy traffic in JK Pur. Their names have been recommended by Zilla Sambadik Sangha for felicitation during the ensuing Independence Day celebration at Rayagada.

With an objective to enrich school education and development, the personality of the tribal students, ‘SPARSH’ & JK Paper Mills organized an elocution competition for the students of nearby 54 Schools where 702 students participated. The programme was conducted in three stages i.e. from school level to cluster level & finally at central level. Five clusters were constituted at Nodal High School, Kothapeta, Primary School, Amalabhata, Sebashram School, Antamada,   Ashram School, Bhakurguda,  L S High School, Jaykaypur.
 
The Final Round of competition, inaugurated by Smt Bela Suri, President , Mahilamandal ,JK Pur, was held at JK Pur Club, JK Pur where 77 students selected at cluster levels participated. Sri Bhaskar Ch. Hota, Smt Sujata Pradhan, Sri Akilananda Bebarta, lecturer in English, Bharati College, Debodala, Sri G S Patnaik, GM (Quality Control) & Sri B N Mishra, Lecturer in English, L S Higher Secondary School, JK Pur, Dr Ashok Mishra, Principal, +2 Sc Jupiter International College, Rayagada,  as Jury, adjudged the best 4 students from each stage i.e. Sub-junior, Junior & Senior.

 
Shraddhanjali Priya Darsini, Saraswati Sishu Vidyamandir, Jaykaypur, Sunayana Sahu, Darsan Karkaria, Saraswati Sishu Vidyamandir, Jaykaypur, Jemabati Urlaka, Sebashram Primary School, Kolnara, Prachi Prusty , B S N U P School, Kolnara bagged 1st, 2nd, 3rd & consolation prize respectively in sub-junior group. Junior group winners included Ku Subhasmita Jena, Saraswati Sishu Vidyamandir, Jaykaypur, Rajendra Koushalya, Sebashram School, Bhakurgua, Ku Bandana Patara, Saraswati Sishu Vidyamandir, Jaykaypur,  Ku Pinki Palaka, U P School, Debodala as 1st, 2nd, 3rd & consolation respectively.  Dhiraj Ku Sahu- Saraswati Sishu Vidyamandir, Jaykaypur, G Kavita, Adarsha Vidyalaya, Kolnara, Ashutosh Dora, Saraswati Sishu Vidyamandir, Jaykaypur and  Bhagyabati Tadingi, Govt High School, Penta stood 1st, 2nd, 3rd & consolation winners respectively in senior group. The prizes to the winners will be given on the eve of Independence Day inside the Mills premises by Mr P K Suri, Executive Vice President (Works).

 
Like every year this year also Mr P K Suri, Executive Vice President (Works), JKPM as chief guest in the presence of Mrs Bela Suri, President, Mahila Mandal, Jaykaypur, Sundeep Pandey, General Manager (HR & IR), Dibyendu Basu, Chief Manager (HR), Biswaji Dwivedi, Vice president,(Commercial), Vinaya Dwivedi, Vice President (Manufacturing)   distributed scholarships to the tune of Rs.5.88 lakhs to 50 meritorious students of the wards of employees who have secured more than 60% marks in their career pursuing higher education at engineering colleges namely GIACR, Rayagada and GIET, Gunpur. 
 
“On a sustained basis, JKPM has been taking up these kind of initiatives boosting educational standards in the local vicinity which will go a long way”, said Sri Gobinda Rath, an educational expert of the district.
