82,Odisha Police Formation day Celebrated in Berhampur

BERHAMPUR, ( 1ST April,2017):A parade was performed by different units of Odisha police at the police ground in Berhampur  on Saturday morning  during the celebrations of 82, Odisha Police formation Day.

 

The celebrations were held in Ambapua reserve fields. IG southern Range Mr Amitabh Thakur, who was the Chief Guest at the function, took salute from various units.

 

Mr Thakur, readout the message of Govoner, Odisha and the Chief Minister of Odisha Mr Naveen Patnaik.

 

In his speech Mr Thakur said we all united like one family and should try to gain more and more public confidence as well to be more nearer to the common man.

 

“We are celebrating the glorious journey of last 81 years. We realise that now we have even more responsibilities than ever. Our personnel should be more humble and people friendly so that a person can freely to come to a police station and register his grievances,” said Thakur adding, “Women, Senior Citizen,poor people and socially marginalised groups like dalits, adivasis are our main priorities and we want to make them feel safe by delivering speed justice to their grievances.”he added.

 

Dr.Alok Jena,IIC of Golonthara PS was awarded as best officer for his overall performance. 

 

The introduction was given by the addl. SP,Trinath Patel and the parade monitor by Commandant Mr Nirod Polai.
